David Miller beats the Zionists (again!) at the Employment Appeal Tribunal
David’s battle against Bristol Uni for unfairly sacking him began in 2021. For the back story, go to https://www.onepalestine.land/legal-battles-lost-and-won/#ongoing-professor-david-miller-vs-bristol-university
After winning the first Employment Tribunal court case in 2023, he has now won the appeal that was mounted by Bristol University seeking to overturn the earlier judgement against him.
A Landmark Ruling
On the 4th August 2026, David won his case at the Employment Tribunal Appeal court in a landmark decision, which Bristol University had poured so much cash into. The ETA judge agreed with David’s lawyers, who had argued that to be antizionist should be a protected belief under the 2010 Equalities Act- this means that Zionists can never again bully someone out of their job for criticising Israel. Because, if that individual then claims unfair dismissal at an Employment Tribunal, the precedent has been set; they will henceforth be protected by the law.
David says “Anti-Zionism is now a protected philosophical belief under the Equality Act 2010. Full stop. On Tuesday, the Employment Appeal Tribunal finally handed down its judgment. The University of Bristol’s attempt to overturn my 2024 Employment Tribunal victory has been comprehensively dismissed. We won on every single count.
This is a public humiliation for the genocidal Zionist regime, whose assets in Britain bullied the University into sacking me and then dragged them into this futile appeal. Their pressure campaign has spectacularly backfired. I want to thank everyone who believed in me and supported me.
This is a victory for the whole anti-Zionist movement.”
