Write to the Home Secretary to stop UKLFI’s bid to exclude anti-Zionist Rabbi from UK

** UPDATE 25th APRIL- The Rabbi arrived in the UK safely with no issues and the first night of the tour in Edinburgh went well**

180 people helped to get Rabbi Weiss into the UK so that he can talk on the 15-city Muslim & Jew on Tour: Beyond Israel starting on 24th April.

An email to Suella Braverman MP who is the Home Secretary, will be generated if you*

The text will all be there- just add your name and address, etc – if you can personalise it, so much the better. Please ask anyone who cares for Palestine to help- the UK needs to hear what Rabbi Weiss, the New-York based spokesman for Neturei Karta International- Jews United Against Zionism, has to say. The more folk who write in, the weaker the UK Lawyers for Israel’s case will be (see their slanderous attack here and my (long) letter to the Home Secretary here

Please share this on your social media, too

Thanks- Pete Gregson (Chair), One Democratic Palestine

Dear Home Secretary,

The UK Lawyers for Israel have asked you to exclude Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss from our country when he comes here next month.
Please permit him to come in to take part in One Democratic Palestine’s “Muslim & Jew: Beyond Israel” tour in April, to explain how Judaism and Islam are close. He favours a single state in Palestine. The Rabbi believes he can reduce antisemitism in the UK as a Jew who has a sympathetic perspective on the Palestinians.

UKLFI just succeeded in banning Palestinian children’s art from a London hospital and I feel they now mount a fresh attack on freedom of opinion and expression. Rabbi Weiss is a peaceful, devoutly religious man who knows too well about antisemitism- his grandparents died in Auschwitz.

Excluding him would be ipso facto antisemitic as he would be being targeted because he is a Jew. Should the Rabbi be unfairly treated because of his Judaic faith? I would hope that you don’t object to him coming; on his previous visits there was no difficulties, and I would not anticipate any problems this time either. There are many Jewish people who share his religious views and I foresee his visit will bring these Jews and Muslims together.

Yours sincerely,

etc
